...and back.
Gosh, that was good.

P-CON VI was a weekend of funfunfun. And more fun.

Alcohol, food, chitchat, panels, flirting, geeking and generally hanging around with Many Fine People.

(...and an Elder God.)

Seem to have purchased: the complete graphical works of Leonardo Da Vinci in Hardbound Monolith Edition (seriously; the book is hardbound and weighs about 8 kg), a book on ancient Cretan civilisation and a book on Persia and its role in the Great Game. Must somehow find shelf space for them.

Herself may have won something or other for a bit of writing. Naturally v. proud.

Now have to resign self to the fact that tomorrow will involve going back to the stupid trivial bits of life that involve actually earning a living.

Go to P-CON. P-CON is more fun than can usually be had without ingesting sundry addictive substances.

In fact, P-CON is probably an addictive substance in its own right.

But it is his cat Mac who will knock you down and mug you for it.

Heh. I'll smuggle him over next year, expressly for the purpose.

I would have Designs on your coat were it not for the fact that I would look more like a mediaeval rabbi than Keanu Reeves-in-The Matrix in it.

I was going to point you to the people who made it; except that they seem to have stopped as of 31/12/2008, which is a real shame.

(I was seriously considering getting a second one for when the first one eventually wears out - though that doesn't look to be any time soon.)

I've always loved long coats, though; they're shamelessly dramatic, especially when the wind catches them.

There is a pattern (simplicity or one of the big pattern companies) for it - I've been tempted to get it, but I know how daft I'd look... Clanwilliam took pics of various people in your coat, one of them me. Um... well... yes.

I would have designs on the coat except that it would trail around after me making me look like one of the boys here http://tw-babiez.livejournal.com/

That Con looks fun :-)

I like long coats too. My everyday winter coat is a long black one for attempting to look cool in *g*
